Celery seeds are known as Ajwain seeds and its botanical name is Trachys permumammi. Celery seeds are oval-shaped seed like fruits and pale brown in colour. Which resemble the seeds of other plants in the Apiaceous family such as caraway, cumin and fennel. They have a bitter and pungent taste. Small amount of seeds tend to dominate the flavor of a recipe.
